The brief

The festival asked for a wall that the school could live with for ten years: bright from the street, calm from the classroom windows.

How I made it

I worked out the pattern at 1:20 in gouache, then gridded the wall with the students, who painted the first coat. Five days, nine colours, one scissor lift.
